Plot

In the early 1930s, under the sinister shadow of the Third Reich, Hitler's emissaries cross the Atlantic, driven by an obsession with occultism and the pursuit of power. Their journey leads them to the serene landscape of Morgan County, West Virginia, where they find the Wollners, a humble German immigrant family. Lured by the promise of financial prosperity, the family agrees to host the enigmatic historian, Richard Wirth. His interest, however, is not in the family but in a mystic runic stone harbored within their barn, setting in motion a terrifying game of survival. Fast forward to 2007, the story unfolds through the life of Evan Marshall, a young paramedic whose existence is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his older brother, Victor, near Town Creek two years ago. Evan's mundane life takes an unexpected turn when Victor, appearing battered and broken, returns one night. His reappearance, as shocking as it is, carries a heavier revelation - the tale of his captivity in the Wollners' farm, a place where evil was sealed off, exacting a terrible price from those who dared cross its path. Victor's tale of survival stirs a thirst for vengeance in Evan, and with a cache of weapons and a boat, they embark on a perilous journey back to the Wollners' farm. They return to Town Creek, not just to confront the horrors of the past, but to challenge an evil force that has bound the Wollners for over seven decades. The brothers' quest for justice will test their courage, resilience, and humanity, as they delve deeper into the heart of darkness, where survival is a game and evil lurks in every corner.
