Pokémon: The First Movie (1998)

Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, obtains the eyelash of legendary Pokemon Mew. He employs Dr. Fuji to create a clone of Mew, resulting in Mewtwo. In the laboratory, Mewtwo bonds with other clones, including the consciousness of Fuji's deceased daughter. The clones all break down and die over time to the horror of Mewtwo. Fuji attempts to sedate Mewtwo and make him forget everything. After waking up later on, Mewtwo realizes he means nothing to the scientists and destroys the lab. Giovanni attempts to manipulate Mewtwo, but he flees and creates a trap on New Island. Ash Ketchum and his friends then find themselves caught up in this plot for revenge.

Pokémon: The First Movie is an action movie featuring Ayako Shiraishi and directed by Kunihiko Yuyama.
