Plot

In the shadowy depths of the Vietnam War, Nick Parker (Rutger Hauer) loses his sight but gains an unexpected gift. Found by a local tribe, he learns to harness his remaining senses and becomes a sword-wielding virtuoso, blind yet extraordinarily capable. Upon returning stateside, he seeks out his old Army comrade, Frank Devereaux (Terrance O'Quinn), only to uncover a tumultuous life Frank left behind: a dissolved marriage to Lynn (Meg Foster) and a trail leading to a shady casino in Reno, Nevada. As it turns out, Devereaux, a brilliant chemist, is ensnared in a dangerous predicament. Having accrued a mountain of debt, the ruthless casino kingpin, MacCready (Noble Willingham), offers a sinister deal - erase the debt in exchange for crafting designer drugs. To ensure Devereaux's compliance, MacCready targets his son, Billy (Brandon Call), for abduction. However, fate has a wildcard - Nick. Finding himself in the right place at the right time, he thwarts the kidnapping, unexpectedly becoming the boy's protector. A high-stakes journey ensues, a race against time through the neon-lit veins of Las Vegas, Nevada. With MacCready's menacing henchmen hot on their trail, Nick must rely on his heightened senses and skilled swordsmanship to safeguard Billy and rescue his old friend, plunging deeper into a world where danger lurks behind the turn of every card.
