Black Fly (2014)

Jake and Noel Henson are brothers, bound not only by blood but also by the haunting specters of a tragic past. Their father's death in a hunting mishap and their mother's subsequent suicide created a chasm between them that time only widened. When Jake flees from his cruel uncle, he finds sanctuary with Noel, who has made a home with his girlfriend, Paula, in their dilapidated ancestral farmhouse, tucked away on a secluded island. This isolated haven seems to be the perfect balm to soothe old wounds and reconnect with his estranged brother. However, Jake soon finds that the idyllic setting masks a growing storm. Noel, it appears, has succumbed to the demons of their past, drowning his sorrows in alcohol and igniting a volatile temper. The once serene farmhouse now buzzes with tension, a ticking time bomb fueled by Noel's spiraling paranoia and propensity for violence. As the days slide into a disquieting unease, a terrifying family saga unfolds, pitting blood ties against moral duty. Noel's emerging psychopathy transforms their haven into a nerve-racking horror show, forcing Jake to confront an unsettling quandary: Can he summon the courage to quell his brother's destructive rampage?
