Plot

On the precipice of World War II, a sinister plot is hatched by the Black Dragon Society of Japan. They commission the services of Doctor Melcher, a man skilled in creating doppelgängers, to transform six Japanese men into mirror images of six influential American industrialists. These unsuspecting victims are quietly eliminated - their identities usurped by their foreign counterparts. Doctor Melcher, carrying the weight of this explosive secret, is imprisoned by the ruthless High Dragon Yakhamea, ensuring that his remarkable feat of identity manipulation would die with him. However, in the shadowy confines of his cell, Melcher ingeniously switches places with a fellow prisoner, Monsieur Colomb, who is on the verge of release. Once free, Colomb traces the Japanese impostors to America, where they have infiltrated the industrial sector. They sow seeds of chaos and sabotage within the Monogram defense plants, an incongruity as the war has yet to commence. Colomb, despite the complexities of his allegiance, embarks on a dangerous mission to eliminate these impostors one by one, leaving their lifeless bodies on the steps of the Japanese Embassy, a grim reminder of their true origin. These mysterious murders eventually catch the attention of FBI Chief Colton and his astute agent, Dick Martin. They slowly piece together the ominous puzzle, realizing that the common thread connecting the victims is a past visit to Japan. As they stake out the sixth man, hoping to trap the elusive killer, a web of deceit and treachery unravels, exposing the true identities and motives of all involved. In this world where faces are masks and allies can be enemies, only the truly cunning survive.
