Beneath the iron-fisted rule of Mrs. Kamla Bhandari, a household quivers in fear. Her reign is unchallenged, her authority absolute. She belittles her husband Kailash, derides her eldest son Suraj as an imbecile, and treats an orphaned girl, Aarti, as no more than a servile creature. Only her youngest son, Vicky, basks in her stern approval.
