In the shadowy tale of "Birdboy: The Forgotten Children," three young companions, Dinki, Sandra, and Zorrito, are confined to a desolate island, the remains of a once thriving community now ravaged by nuclear disaster. Parallel to their quest, another narrative unfolds. Birdboy, a tormented child and junkie relentlessly pursued by the authorities, battles his internal demons. His mind, a battlefield of harrowing nightmares and hallucinations of sinister bird beasts, seeks solace in the numbing embrace of drugs. As Dinki, Sandra, and Zorrito traverse the island, their path laden with danger and stark revelations of its destitution, Birdboy grapples with past memories of his father, the island's former lightkeeper. In the midst of this bleak reality, Birdboy secretly nurtures the last vestige of nature, a clandestine oasis of life amidst the decay. The question that hangs in the radioactive mist is whether Birdboy can conquer his inner turmoil and restore the island's lost vibrancy through his hidden sanctuary.
