Beirut (2018)

It's 1972, and Mason Skiles is an American diplomat living with his wife in Beirut. The two are serving as surrogate parents for a 13-year old Palestinian boy named Karim, but their relationship gets more complicated when Skiles learns that a CIA agent he's friends with wants to interview Karim. It's believed that Karim's brother was involved in the Munich massacre, but the Skiles household is attacked by Karim's older brother before they can react. His wife dies in the massacre, but he has to revisit the issue ten years later when he's asked to come to bat for a friend he left behind.
