BASEketball (1998)

Best buds Remer and Coop don't have the discipline or talent to be professional athletes, so they decide to design their own sport. They leverage their knowledge as sports fans to create a game that strips out all of the boring components in favor of the most fun parts of different games — and since they know the game better than anyone, they immediately become the star players of BASEketball. And while they're surprised to find their sport take off, they're forced to deal with the sudden pressures that come from being rich and famous. The temptations to sell out are strong.
