Balupu (2013)

Ravi (Ravi Teja), a contented collection agent for ICICI in Bangalore, enjoys a carefree life with his friends and his father Mohan Rao (Prakash Raj), who eagerly dreams of his son's impending marriage. This tranquility is disrupted when Ravi's friend attempts suicide, triggering a series of events that lead Ravi to cross paths with the cunning duo, Shruti (Shruti Haasan) and her scheming uncle Crazy Mohan (Brahmanandam). Renowned for their knack of tricking naïve young men, including Ravi's friend, they soon find tables turned as Ravi infiltrates their world posing as an innocent dupe. As Ravi outwits their every plan, Crazy Mohan devises a new strategy, encouraging Shruti to ensnare Ravi in a matrimonial trap. Fate, however, has a peculiar sense of humor, as Ravi reciprocates with a marriage proposal of his own, leaving them to face Mohan Rao's unexpected acceptance and approval. A complex past, however, lurks in the shadows as Shruti was previously betrothed to Rohit (Adivi Sesh) by her father (Nassar). Ravi's nobility shines when he rescues Shruti from goons, advising her to cease playing with people's hearts. This act of bravery stirs a deep love within Shruti for Ravi, leading to Mohan Rao leaving the final decision to Shruti's father, who assures him that Ravi won't be a problem in the future. Meanwhile, Rohit's mother (Sana) vows to make Shruti's life miserable post-marriage. On hearing both sides, Shruti's father arranges her marriage to Ravi, causing humiliation for Rohit's mother and provoking her to summon her brother Poorna (Ashutosh Rana). As the wedding ensues, Poorna recognizes Ravi and Mohan Rao as his archenemies Shankar-Nanaji, leading to a dramatic clash of fists and wits. Amidst the chaos, Poorna stabs Mohan Rao, kidnapping Shruti and fleeing to Vizag. As Ravi rushes his father to the hospital, he begins to unravel his haunting past, thus setting in motion a thrilling journey of vengeance, love, and redemption.
