Plot

The film "Baden Baden" traces the enchanting journey of Ana, a spirited 26-year-old, who, after a failed stint on a foreign film set, returns to her familial roots in the city of Strasbourg. Her life, a juggling act between humor and melancholy, is a testament to the complexity of youth. The summer that awaits her is scorching, both in temperature and in the trials it brings. Ana is a delightful paradox, a blend of strength and self-doubt, grace and clumsiness, vulnerability and rebellion. Her sweet tomboyish charm is tinged with a fascinating eroticism, painting a captivating portrait of a young woman navigating the choppy waters of adulthood. As she attempts to establish a sense of order in her life, an eclectic set of tasks unfolds before her. From replacing her grandmother's antiquated bathtub with a modern walk-in shower to indulging in the simple pleasure of peas and carrots slathered in ketchup, Ana’s summer is anything but ordinary. She gets behind the wheel of a Porsche, only to lose her driver's license, while also finding time to harvest plums and rekindle an old flame. Amidst these endeavors, she finds herself drawn towards her best friend in an intimate encounter, adding another layer to her already complex summer. "Baden Baden" presents an intricate tapestry of experiences, a blend of the mundane and the profound, as Ana stumbles, falls, and picks herself up in her quest to piece her life together. Her story is a testament to the beautiful chaos of youth, a journey that's as compelling as it is relatable.
