Plot

In the quaint and tranquil village of Turnbottom Round, where the idyllic charm is only surpassed by its unique claim to fame - a record of zero crime. This peaceful facade, however, is less a testament to the villagers' piety and more a reflection of the blissful incompetence of the local police force, headed by Sgt. Samuel Dudfoot, flanked by his bumbling constables, Albert Brown and Jeremiah Harbottle. The trio's inability to recognize, let alone solve, a crime has left them on the brink of unemployment. Desperate to save their badges, they hatch a plan as audacious as it is foolhardy: to fabricate a crime-wave, hoping to restore their relevance. However, the universe has a peculiar sense of humor, and their farcical plot spirals into an unexpected adventure. The three hapless law enforcers unwittingly stumble upon a real criminal underworld, complete with a smuggling ring and a spine-chilling legend of a headless horseman. 'Ask a Policeman' is a rollicking journey filled with humor and unexpected turns as Sgt Dudfoot and his constables grapple with their newfound reality. Their innocent attempt to stage a crime-wave transforms into a mirthful quest for justice, as they find themselves entangled in the very thing they sought to fake - a genuine crime spree. Watch as they navigate this comedic chaos, where their survival depends on their ability to outwit real crooks while staying true to their irresistibly clumsy selves.
