In the heart of an ancient Chinese desert, Ou-yang Feng has made his existence as a broker for wandering swordsmen. Among the blades for hire is the enigmatic Huang Yao-shi, a man in possession of a mystical wine with the power to erase memories. Under the intoxicating influence of this concoction, Huang crosses paths with the beguiling Mu-rong Yin and hastily promises to wed her sister, Mu-rong Yang - two faces of the same coin, as they are in fact the same woman. In this tangled web of deceit, Mu-rong Yin employs Ou-yang to assassinate the deceitful Huang, while her alter-ego, Mu-rong Yang, hires him for the exact opposite - to safeguard Huang.
