Plot

In the idyllic suburbia of Wimbledon, the Bentley family's serene life is abruptly disrupted. John Bentley, a diligent stockbroker, finds himself in a whirlwind when his wife, Stella, announces their two married daughters, Pat and Corrine, are in trouble. They need funds to return home, along with their eccentric husbands - Peter, a cash-strapped Parisian artist, and Barnaby, a rough and tumble Texas cowboy. Meanwhile, their youngest daughter, Gwen, devises a cunning ruse. She dupes Bobby Denver, a charismatic American singer, into visiting their home under the guise that they are in fact, the family of a renowned British film magnate. What ensues is a comedic chaos as every woman in the Bentley household, including the maid, finds herself enchanted by the singer's irresistible charms. Desperate to restore order, John Bentley finds himself in the peculiar company of Dr. Schneider, an eccentric psychiatrist. His unorthodox advice leads Bentley down a path of staged debauchery with Pearl, a dazzling showgirl, in a harebrained scheme to incite jealousy in his wife. As the plot thickens, Bentley's attempt to save his family from the captivating singer threatens to oust not the singer himself, but his own wife. 'As Long as They're Happy' is a lively comedy filled with unexpected twists and turns, where love, deceit, and a dash of madness collide, leaving the Bentley's quiet suburban life anything but peaceful.
