Pete and Deb are both about to turn 40. Deb is planning a party for Pete, but a couple mid-life crisis events are threatening the plan. Pete and Deb are struggling to deal with unruly kids, Pete's business is failing, Deb is having a hard time with the physical changes associated with turning 40, and overall, the couple is extremely unhappy. To make it past this milestone intact, Pete and Deb are going to have to rely on everyone around them.
