Annihilation (2018)

An unusual meteorite falls from the sky and lands inside a lighthouse situated on a southern coastal area of the U.S. An odd zone begins forming around the landing area scientists call “The Shimmer.” A crack team of soldiers and scientists are sent in to investigate but only one man returns a year later. His memory is wiped clean. Now his wife, Lena, an Army vet and DNA scientist, is sent into The Shimmer with a new team. They will confront the inexplicably strange and mind-shocking horrors. As team members are lost one-by-one, Lena presses forward and makes astonishing discoveries.
