Plot

In the rustic corners of India, Chitra and her husband, Shekar, live a modest life with their two children, Arjun and Anu. Their world, already spun in the threads of simplicity, is disrupted when Chitra gives birth to their third child, a girl, on a tempestuous night. The child is reported stillborn, a tragedy that sends a seismic shock through the family's life. Subsequently, they relocate to a city flat, where Shekar immerses himself in his work as an architect and an inevitable air of suspicion settles over the family. Two years transpire before Chitra's doubts about Shekar's fidelity emerge. Confronted, Shekar reluctantly reveals the existence of their third child, Anjali, who was born with a brain disorder and left under hospital care. Chitra, driven by maternal love, brings Anjali home, igniting a wave of unease among Arjun, Anu, and the neighbourhood children. Anjali's arrival, like a stone cast into a still pond, sends ripples across their lives, challenging their perceptions and testing their resilience. The narrative illuminally captures Anjali's unique interactions, the love she extends and receives, and the profound bonds she forms with each family member. Yet, her presence also brings forth the societal stigma and the family's struggle to navigate the turbulent waters of social prejudice. Amidst this familial turmoil, Shekar becomes a key witness to a police inspector's murder, a situation that only intensifies their predicament. The killer, desperate for silence, and the neighbourhood, wanting to evict the family because of Anjali, add layers to the family's struggle for acceptance and peace. In this whirlwind of events, a mysterious stranger, Prabhu, steps into their lives. Appointing himself their guardian angel, he becomes a beacon of hope. But, how will the family bear the societal taunts? How will they embrace Anjali's presence? This extraordinary tale not only highlights the societal insensitivity towards the specially-abled but also unravels the complexities faced by their families, all through the life and eyes of little Anjali.
