Animal 2 (2007)

Once a fearsome gangster known as "Animal", James Allen is now a prisoner, locked away in Folsom Prison. His past is riddled with bullet holes and betrayal, notably from his eldest son, Darius, whose actions have led to Animal paying for sins that aren't his own. But the volatile prison environment is about to shift - a riot erupts, pitching Blacks against Mexicans, and Animal is swept away in the chaos, transferred to the harsh confines of Susanville Prison. In this new environment, a chilling revelation awaits Animal: his son, James Jr., is ensnared in a murder case, framed by a puppet master lurking within the prison walls. A ruthless blackmail forces Animal to plunge back into the murky depths of his past life as a fighter, all in a desperate bid to protect his son. Meanwhile, the outside world isn't idle. Darius, once the cause of his father's downfall, is now a reformed man. He maintains a fragile thread of connection with his father, even as he works incessantly with his lawyer, trying to weave together enough evidence to absolve James Jr. of his alleged crime. The stakes are high as both father and son grapple with their past and fight for their family's future.
