Plot

Immerse yourself in 1980s Belfast, Northern Ireland, a city divided by religion, where Colm (Barry McEvoy), a steadfast Catholic, and George (Brian O'Byrne), a Protestant with a soft spot for verse, stand apart from the conflict as unlikely allies. Rather than becoming pawns in the sectarian discord, they unite as entrepreneurs, coaxing an eccentric wig peddler, the Scalper (Sir Billy Connolly), into sharing his clientele. Their venture leads them across the city's dangerous divides, where each territory holds perils for one or the other. However, their exclusive monopoly on the wig market teeters on the edge as potential competitors loom. Their livelihood and friendship are put to the test when they receive substantial wig orders from both sides of the religious schism. With a balance of humor and tension, the narrative poses a question: Will they forsake their ethics to preserve their venture? But the stakes rise even higher as they grapple with the potential consequences of their enterprise. Can their wigs, if they fall into the hands of the I.R.A., land them in prison, or worse, cost them their lives? Set against a backdrop of political turmoil, "An Everlasting Piece" is a tale of friendship, peril, and the peculiar business of wigs that might just be the duo's downfall or salvation.
