Plot

In the heart of London, a window cleaner named Ginger, easily identified by his fiery red hair, leads an unrestrained life filled with imprudence. He shares his life - from his shabby rooming house to his dates - with his best friend Dwyer, often swapping rooms and companions in the middle of the night, much to the young women's oblivion. Always scouting for his next romantic pursuit, be it through the windows he cleans or during his dates, Ginger's life takes an unexpected turn. An encounter through one such window introduces Ginger to the elderly Gunge, a hospital patient whose eccentric yet well-maintained apartment becomes Ginger's temporary haven. It's during an outing with a woman named Babette that he meets Carole and Jill. Ginger's interest is piqued by the seemingly shyer Jill, using the vivacious Carole as a pathway to her. As he finds himself drawn to Jill, Ginger's irresponsible outlook begins to shift towards a more mature one. He treats Jill with an unprecedented respect, a stark contrast to his usual cavalier attitude towards women. However, his newfound sense of responsibility is challenged by the flawed example set by his sister Cecily and her husband Issur. With Cecily expecting yet again and Issur's life more chaotic than Ginger's ever was, Ginger struggles to reconcile his old ways with his newfound perspective. It's a journey of self-discovery, infused with humour and the gritty reality of life's contradictions.
