Alabama Moon (2009)

Deep within the secluded heart of Alabama's forests, young Moon Blake is nurtured by his father, Oliver, a man whose love for his son is matched only by his mistrust of the government. In the secret sanctuary of their hidden cave, Oliver teaches Moon the laws of the land until a leg wound, stubbornly left untreated, steals him away. As his final wish, Oliver urges Moon to seek solitude and survival in the untouched wild-lands of Alaska. Yet, this path is not easily walked. Constable Sanders, the town's cruel and relentless lawman, discovers Moon armed with his father's weaponry.
