Above and Beyond (1953)

Set in the tumultuous year of 1943, "Above and Beyond" narrates the arduous journey of Lt. Col. Paul Tibbets, a headstrong yet insubordinate figure of the US Air Force. Under the wary eye of Maj. Gen. Vernon C. Brent, Tibbets is entrusted with the perilous task of testing Boeing's new B-29, a formidable long-range bomber.
