A Resurrection (2013)

In the seemingly ordinary halls of Middletown High School, an outcast named Eli is tormented by the swaggering Brandon and his band of followers. Their transgressions land them in detention under the watchful eye of Principal Addison who arranges a meeting with the school psychologist, Jessie. Jessie, who's romantically entwined with Travis, the deputy and son of the town's pastor, joins Addison in a quest to understand Eli's intricate psyche. As they delve into Eli's world, they learn of his deep-seated longing for his elder brother, Devon, a victim of a fatal hit-and-run incident. When Eli breaks his silence, he accuses Brandon of being the culprit behind Devon's untimely demise. But Eli's revelations take a darker turn. He claims that after discovering Devon's lifeless body, a witch bestowed upon it an evil entity that now seeks resurrection. This malevolent spirit, according to Eli, craves six souls to breathe life into Devon's corpse, with Brandon and his crew marked as targets. Jessie, a skeptic and atheist, struggles to believe Eli's bone-chilling confession. Yet, something tells her that dismissing his words could be a deadly mistake. This tale of vengeance from the grave wraps the viewer in an intense atmosphere of suspense and mystery, making "A Resurrection" a chilling exploration of faith, fear, and the supernatural.
