For three decades, the specter of a long-ago Christmas Eve has shadowed Kathleen, a memory as chilling as the winter wind - the night her father deserted her and her mother. Holding her mother accountable for that fateful night, she's shunned the joy and cheer of Christmas ever since. Yet, her past refuses to be outpaced, wrapping around her present like an unforgiving frost. An unexpected blizzard traps Kathleen within the confines of her own home, her solitude disrupted by two strangers in the days tiptoeing up to the Christmas she holds in such contempt.
