Plot

Adopted three decades ago by an Australian family, Sung-chan, also known as Lucas Fedora, finds himself drawn back to his Korean roots after kindling a relationship with his Korean girlfriend, Mari. Despite Mari's heartfelt proposal to start a family, Sung-chan is unable to ignore the siren call of his past. He leaves her behind and embarks on a solitary journey to Korea, seeking the biological mother he never knew. His only lead is the place where he was found, a confusing maze of fragmented memories and time. As he delves deeper into the mystery, he finds himself lost in a foreign land that should feel like home. Sung-chan's quest for clarity only deepens his confusion, and his memories intertwine with his dreams, creating a haunting tapestry of his past. His journey leads him to a dilapidated motel, a place that seems to echo with the hushed whispers of its own past. The motel is run by two widowed women, each grappling with their own hidden demons. As Sung-chan spends a night in this place, he encounters a mother and her daughter, whose presence triggers a cascade of memories. The night at the motel unfolds like a surreal dream, steering Sung-chan further into the labyrinth of his past. As the lines between reality and dreams blur, his search for his mother and his own identity leads to tragic and unforeseen consequences. The story of 'A Blind River' is a riveting exploration of identity, memory, and the haunting allure of the past.
