Plot

In the heart of Palestine, Layal, a radiant newlywed and dedicated schoolteacher, finds her world irrevocably shattered when she's falsely accused and unjustly sentenced to eight grueling years in an Israeli women's prison. Thrust into a nightmarish labyrinth where Palestinian political captives and Israeli criminals are thrown together, Layal is forced to navigate a terrifyingly unpredictable reality. Her journey takes an unexpected turn when she discovers she's pregnant, drawing the sinister attention of the prison director who ruthlessly pressures her to abort her child and betray her fellow Palestinian inmates. Yet, bound by chains but unbroken in spirit, Layal courageously brings her baby boy into the world, a beacon of hope amidst the prison's oppressive walls. Layal's struggle to raise her son in her bleak surroundings, and her burgeoning relationships with the diverse array of prisoners, breathes new meaning into her life and a renewed sense of purpose. However, as prison conditions plummet, a spark of rebellion ignites among the Palestinian prisoners. The prison director, threatening to strip away her infant son, warns Layal against joining this rising tide of resistance. Faced with a soul-wrenching dilemma, Layal must make a choice that will indelibly etch the course of her life. Inspired by true events, 3000 Nights traces a young mother's harrowing journey of hope, resilience, and survival against the most daunting odds. This is a stirring tale of a woman who, even in the face of despair, finds the strength to fight for her child's future and her own.
