John Dutton is the sixth generation in a powerful family of American cattle ranchers, and he now owns the largest contiguous stretch of ranch land in the United States. But being the biggest name in the business also makes you the biggest target for potential rivals. The Duttons are simply trying to keep their complicated family together, but they'll need to deal with encroachments from rival ranches as well as common threats like predators and natural disasters. And managing to stay relevant with a ranch that size means also navigating complexities with the neighboring native reservation and national park.
