Plot

In an era marked by groundbreaking milestones, the United States sees its first female president, Sally Sheridan, assassinated during her solemn Veterans Day speech. The elusive assassin escapes narrowly, his presence barely a whisper on the wind, while national security dogs his footsteps. As time slips into the abyss, three months later, an elderly couple stumbles upon a man, wounded and disoriented, lodged in a tree with a parachute as his only companion. The young man, known as Dorff, is an enigma, a blank slate devoid of self-recollection. His only breadcrumb to his past is an enigmatic tattoo, "XIII", etched into his neck. Within the labyrinthine corridors of the White House, government intelligence relentlessly pursues the phantom responsible for the President's murder. With the shadow of elections looming, unmasking the suspect could tip the scales in favor of the administration. As the covert forces detect XIII's whereabouts, elite special ops descend like hawks upon the unsuspecting couple's home in Cape Fear. Propelled by raw adrenaline and primal instinct, XIII outwits and outmaneuvers the soldiers, leaving a trail of downed foes in his wake. Hunted and desperate, he clings to each clue like a lifeline, slowly stitching together the fragments of his shattered memory. When he is finally captured, a chilling revelation awaits him. He is a pawn, gifted a stolen identity and thrust undercover to expose a cabal of conspirators bent on toppling the government. Entrenched within the very heart of power, these conspirators operate a shadowy security agency parallel to the government's, both fervently seeking XIII. His only route to reclaiming his lost life is to play the dangerous game of bait. A treacherous endeavor, especially when the mirror reflects a face you do not recognize.
