Plot

In a world of corruption and secrecy, the path to justice is often shrouded in shadows. WATCHER (2019) tells the tale of three individuals bound by a haunting tragedy that reshapes their lives forever. Do Chi Kwang, an elite detective, is recognized for his unmatched intellect and unrivaled track record in apprehending criminals. However, he is not just a man of action but also one of introspection, as he soon realizes the crucial role the police play in combating corruption. His perspective shift leads him to the helm of the internal affairs investigation team, where he seeks to unveil the murky underbelly of the force. Kim Young Goon, a frontline officer in the mobile patrol team, is as enigmatic as he is efficient. His frosty exterior belies a tender heart and a warm personality. Accidentally crossing paths with Do Chi Kwang, he is thrust into the center of the tragic affair that he has been desperately trying to forget. To confront his past and unearth the truth, he joins the internal affairs investigation team. The third member of this unlikely trio is Han Tae Joo, a lawyer of considerable renown. Once a prosecutor, her life took a perilous turn when she found herself entwined in a case that threatened her existence. Surviving against all odds, she relinquishes her prosecutor’s badge for the courtroom and eventually finds herself aligning with Do Chi Kwang and Kim Young Goon in their pursuit of truth. Together, they form a formidable internal affairs team, unearthing the secrets that lie deep within the police force and seeking to expose the mastermind behind their shared tragedy. WATCHER (2019) is a riveting journey of redemption and revelation, where the protagonists strive to excavate the truth buried beneath layers of deceit and duplicity.
