In the vibrant city of Detroit, 30-something Danny Burton lives a freewheeling bachelor life, watching in bemusement as his friends trade singledom for serious commitments. When his last single ally, Shannon, abandons their carefree brigade to tie the knot, Danny unexpectedly finds himself in need of a roommate. Enter Justin, the quirky proprietor of the misnamed Black Eyes Bar, a local watering hole.
Justin brings along his own band of misfits: Burski, an endearingly nerdy character; Shelly, an eccentric with a heart of gold; and Brett, a recently out and proud gay man. Each of them exhibits traits that stamp them as "undateable," navigating the world of relationships with more clumsiness than grace. Despite being a magnet for women, Danny shares their struggle, a commitment-phobe who can charm his way into a woman's heart but never quite manages to stay there.
Completing the ensemble is Leslie, Danny's stunning yet similarly "undateable" sister. As a divorcee in her mid-30s, she carries the baggage of a failed marriage, battling her own fears of entering the dating arena again. Together, this unlikely crew takes on love, life, and the quest for lasting connections, each maneuvering the tricky world of dating while keeping their unique charm intact.
