Plot
Brooklyn's 99th precinct is comprised of a colorful group of cops, and their internal and work lives become the fodder for a new twist on the workplace sitcom. Jake Peralta is a detective with natural talent but little maturity, while his partner Charles Boyle is both his best friend and a neurotic mess of a human being. Then there are detectives Amy Santiago and Rosa Diaz who represent the straight-laced perfect student and the rough talking outlaw. The detectives are diverse and eccentric, but it's only through the discipline of Detective Sereant Terry Jeffords and newly arrived Captain Ray Holt that they manage to work together so well.
