Plot
Kimmy Schmidt spent all of her formative years under the thrall of a cult leader who had kidnapped and imprisoned her as a child. When she and her fellow captives are discovered and freed, Kimmy has a long hard walk to reintegrate herself into the real world. Fortunately, her chipper and indomitable spirit makes her endearing even when she utterly fails to understand the situation around her. Guiding her on her quest to a normal life is her flamboyant roommate Titus, a surprisingly friendly landlady, and a boss in the form of the rich and vain woman she nannies for.
