Unbelievable (2019)

This dramatization of real life events follows a young woman named Marie who was charged with lying about her rape accusations and the two detectives who slowly uncover the grievous error over the course of a twisting and turning path. Marie Adler is a teen who finds herself being raped and then not believed, but she's ultimately another data point in a series of rapes that recurred throughout Washington and Colorado. As the detectives begin to follow the emerging pattern, they discover that the statement that was outright dismissed to authorities could hold the key to stopping these crimes for good.
