In the sultry climes of Key Mariah, Florida, a rogue ex-RCMP and DEA agent, Nick Slaughter, seeks sanctuary after a forced exit from his former life. Once an enforcer of the law, he now operates on its fringes, setting up his own detective service in this quaint coastal town. His path crosses with Sylvie Gerard, a savvy local travel agent with a knack for mysteries. An unlikely alliance blooms between them, creating a formidable detective duo. Their unique blend of expertise and street smarts isn't always appreciated by the local police force. Despite this, they persist, often leaning on their eclectic network of allies. Among them are Ian and Spider, the successive proprietors of the lively Tropical Heat Bar, and Rollie, the town's quirky police mortician. As they navigate through a maze of intrigue and danger, they leave an indelible mark on Key Mariah. With Nick Slaughter and his motley crew in town, life in this tropical paradise will never be the same.
