Appaloosa (2008)

New Mexico in the late 19th century was largely wild land, and ranchers like Randall Bragg essentially stand above any system of law and order that does exist. Everett and Virgil are hired to patrol the town, and that regularly means squaring off with the thugs hired by Bragg. When a cultured young piano player named Allison French moves into town, she starts a relationship with Virgil. But this new love puts a strain on the friendship between Everett and Virgil. It appears that there's a lot more to Allison than she initially let on, and she may be using Virgil for her own duplicitous ends.
