To Love-Ru (2008)

In the seemingly ordinary life of high-school student Rito Yuki, love seems to be an elusive concept. He finds himself ensnared in the labyrinth of adolescent emotions, unable to confess his feelings to Haruna Sairenji, the girl who haunts his dreams. However, his world is turned upside down when, during a sulking session in the bathtub, he encounters a mysterious, unclothed alien girl named Lala, hailing from the far-off planet Deviluke. As the reluctant heir to the Deviluke throne, Lala finds herself on Earth, fleeing from a predetermined life of royal matrimony. Her father, the emperor, insists she return home to choose a husband from a roster of candidates. Instead, Lala makes a defiant decision, setting her sights on Rito as her unlikely earthbound husband. Intriguingly, Rito's struggle to express love to his dream girl unintentionally impresses Lala. His passionate defense of the sanctity of love and marriage prompts her to fall for him, and she insists that he is the only one she can marry. Their unusual romance catches the attention of Commander Zastin, who has been tasked to retrieve the runaway princess. He reports to the emperor that Rito could be a suitable match for Lala, given his firm belief in marrying for love. This unexpected turn of events leaves Rito facing a royal decree: protect Lala from her other potential suitors, and he can marry her. Failure, however, means not only his death but also Earth's destruction. Thus begins a chaotic, comedic, and cosmic love story, where Rito must navigate both alien fianceés and his own tangled feelings, all while the fate of the planet hangs in the balance. Watch as this ordinary human becomes the unlikely lynchpin in an intergalactic marital saga, where love, duty, and survival intertwine in the most unexpected ways.
