Plot

In the sunny coastal city of Santa Monica, career-driven gal pals Janet Wood and Chrissy Snow find their lives taking an unexpected turn when their roommate Eleanor heads into matrimonial bliss and motherhood. Their search for a new cohabitant ends unexpectedly when they discover Jack Tripper, an aspiring chef and notorious party crasher, snoozing in their bathtub. Impressed by his culinary prowess, they invite him to join their platonic household. However, their straight-laced landlord Stanley Roper is less than thrilled with the idea, fearing that their living arrangement would breed mischief. To alleviate his concerns, Janet and Chrissy spin a tale, convincing Roper that the very straight Jack is actually gay. The only one privy to their clever ruse is Roper's amorous wife Helen. As time passes, the building changes hands from the Ropers to real estate tycoon Bart Furley, who ropes in his self-proclaimed Casanova of a brother Ralph to manage the property. The dynamics of the household also undergo a shift when Chrissy moves back to Fresno to care for her sick mother. Her spot in the apartment is filled first by her cousin Cindy, then by the charming nurse Terri Alden. Throughout these changes, Jack, despite his best intentions, continually finds himself in comedic predicaments involving his roommates. 'Three's Company' is a delightful romp through the trials and tribulations of an unconventional living arrangement, where the line between personal and shared spaces blurs, resulting in a whirlwind of laughter and unforgettable friendships.
