In the heart of Australia's Far North Queensland and the Torres Strait, where the azure waters teem with lethal wildlife, we find the backdrop for The Straits – a tantalising blend of dark humour and exotic crime drama. The Montebello clan, our protagonists, are far from the typical sun-kissed Aussie family. When Harry Montebello, the patriarch and mastermind behind this intricate web of shady dealings, begins to contemplate succession, he unwittingly sets the stage for a fierce internal power struggle. But the Montebellos' troubles extend beyond family feuds. They find themselves in the crosshairs of ambitious bikies and mercurial Papua New Guinea raskols. Amidst a whirlwind of torture, assassination, and imprisonment, the family must band together to weather the storm.
