Plot
The fake documentary format allows the wryness of this British comedy about mundane office life to really shine. David Brent lords over the mid-sized paper company he manages in a dying, dreary British town. And since he lords over their schedules and paychecks, few people are eager to tell him that he's not as popular, respected, and intelligence as he thinks he is. But David is just one of many eccentric characters who work at the paper company, and each of them is just trying to make the most of their lives while working in what most would consider a dead end job.
