Plot
Gynecologist Mindy Lahiri maintains a successful medical practice in New York City, but she finds herself less successful at managing her personal life. The fact that her social circle mostly consists of her co-workers isn't unusual, but it brings an extra level of tension and reveals an added layer of intimacy. The romantic tension between Danny and Mindy is real but is undermined both by their professional power dynamic and Danny's religion. But he's just one in a cast of quirky but lovable characters that include a reformed frat boy, a responsible English doctor in charge of the practice's affairs, and ex-con turned RN Morgan Tookers.
