Plot

"The Goddess of Fire" is a captivating historical drama that breathes life into the tale of Yoo Jung, also known as Jung Yi, the first female potter in the Joseon Dynasty. Revered as the dojo of Shintaro porcelain, she's a figure of fiery passion and artistic brilliance. Drawing inspiration from the real-life 'Baek Pa Sun', this series unfolds the journey of a young girl whose dreams soar as high as her talent in porcelain making. Set in the backdrop of the 'Boon Won' porcelain workshop in the Joseon Dynasty, a period celebrated for producing the finest porcelain in the 16th-century Asia, the series delves into the intricate blend of science and art that forms the culture of porcelain. Yoo Jung's story, however, is not confined to her homeland but extends to Japan, where a shrine stands in her honor. The drama beautifully intertwines Yoo Jung's relentless quest to become the finest porcelain artist of her time with a turbulent love story. Her heart intertwines with Prince Kwang Hae, a melancholic prince whose life mirrors a tempestuous storm. Despite the depth of his affection for Yoo Jung, circumstances force him to let go, leaving him in a solitary battle with a love he couldn't extinguish. "The Goddess of Fire" is a poignant exploration of ambition, artistry, love, and sacrifice, painting a vivid portrait of a woman who dared to dream and a man who dared to love amidst the vibrant world of porcelain in the Joseon Dynasty.
