Plot
The Foster family is unconventional in more ways than one. Vice principal Lena Adams and cop Stef Foster are raising quite a few children, but their circumstances are complex. And while this combination of biological and adopted children of different races and backgrounds may be unique, the Fosters are committed to making it work. Their busy lives sometimes make it hard to give the kids the attention they need, and all of them are in different stages of their life. Adding another complication to the situation is the fact that Stef's partner is also her ex-husband and the father of her biological child.
