Plot

In the shadowy realm of unseen puppet masters, known as shadowbrokers, a young boy named Cid Kagenou dreams of silently pulling the strings of the world. Since childhood, he has been honing his body and mind for the discreet machinations of the shadows, a training regimen intensified when he believes to have discovered magic – a misjudged encounter with an automobile's headlights that ironically ends his life. Yet, fate has a dramatic twist in store for Cid. He is reincarnated in a realm where his dreams may become reality, as the scion of a noble family. Undaunted by the drudgery of reality and spurred by his unrelenting desire, Cid engineers a grandiose plot. He weaves a tale of being the commander of an ancient organization, the Shadow Garden, dedicated to combatting the nefarious Cult of Diabolos to prevent the resurrection of a monstrous entity. After a heroic act of saving a damsel in distress, the girl pledges her loyalty to Cid, becoming the first member of his fabricated organization. As Cid navigates this new world, recruiting allies for his cause, he remains blissfully unaware that his whimsical story, born out of a childish fantasy, has a chilling resonance with the actual events unfolding around him. In the heart of intrigue, Cid's delusional dreams transcend into alarming reality. The 'Eminence in Shadow' thus charts his thrilling journey from an ordinary boy to the head of a clandestine organization, battling shadowy evils, offering viewers a riveting blend of fantasy, action, and unexpected reality.
