Soul Eater (2008)

The DWMA isn't any ordinary school. Instead, it's an academy exclusively devoted to those with an innate talent for wielding weaponry. Succeeding as a student is dangerous, and achieving the lauded position of Death Scythe means that they'll need to collect the souls of both 99 humans and a single witch. As if that wasn't challenging enough in their own right, the situation is complicated by the fact that sinister forces have violent designs for the school campus — and that will force the students to learn on their own and without the help of their instructors.
