Plot
Cathy Jamison is like many people in the suburbs, with a comfortable life and seemingly perfect family on the surface but her fair share of domestic problems underneath. But all of that feels inconsequential in the wake of her cancer diagnosis. Her melanoma is advanced to stage IV when she discovers it, leaving her with little chance of long term survival. As she struggles with how to deal with the diagnosis, she finds herself approaching her own relationships in a different manner. Whether it's the students she teaches or the members of her family, she's approaching these relationships as if her eyes were open for the first time.
