Daisy and Tim's friendship is predicated on happenstance — two strangers stumbling into each other desperately in need of a place to stay. And when they find a great apartment deal that is only being leased to a married couple, that's what they pretend to be. The charade keeps them in the apartment, but it's an unusually platonic friendship that keeps them hanging out together as the years pass. While they have the same quirky and nerdy interests, the possibility of a romantic entanglement seems laughable to both of them. But just how ridiculous is the possibility when you consider how close they are?
