Southland (2009)

Life as an LAPD officer isn't always easy, and that's a lesson that rookie Ben Sherman is going to learn the hard way. His experienced training officer isn't there to hold his hand, and Sherman learns quickly that nothing is ever normal in the dangerous territory known as Southland. But the unique and varied cops who make up the precinct all have their own unique perspectives, and they help bring a sense of heart to the police station while offering often unconventional solutions to traditional problems with police oversight and accountability. Sometimes bending the rules is the only way to survive.
