Plot
In the vast cosmos, the peaceful planet of Zenn-La is imperiled by the celestial titan Galactus, a voracious entity subsisting on the life energy of entire planets. Norrin Radd, an inhabitant of Zenn-La, is compelled to act. Striking a desperate pact, he agrees to become Galactus' herald, scouring the universe for unpopulated worlds to satiate his master's insatiable hunger, in exchange for the safety of his home.
Transformed into the formidable Silver Surfer and stripped of his humanity to quell any moral objections, he faithfully executes his duty. However, an encounter with the unhinged cosmic villain, Thanos, sparks a rebellion within him, revealing Galactus' duplicity. Upon discovering that Earth is next on Galactus' menu, the Surfer defies his master and saves the planet.
In a ruthless act of retribution, Galactus banishes Zenn-La to a mysterious location, leaving the Silver Surfer bereft of his home. Endowed with the formidable Power Cosmic but wracked with guilt, the Surfer is now faced with a relentless pursuit for his vanished world and vindictive races seeking reparation for the havoc he wreaked as Galactus' envoy.
