The life of Princess "Bean" Tiabeanie isn't as charmed as it seems. Being royalty means living in a gilded cage, but she decides enough is enough on the eve of an arranged marriage to Prince Merkimer. Bean isn't ready for the commitment of marriage, and the demon Luci and elf Elfo feel the same way as her. Together, they shirk the responsibility of the lives they left behind to run roughshod over the larger fairy tale world they live in. But they can't expect to run away without consequences, and Bean has to live knowing that her father's men are on her trail.
