The absurdity of the economics, politics, and business of Silicon Valley are exposed in this tongue-in-cheek parody of the start-up scene. Richard Hendricks is a brilliant young engineer working out of a company incubator in San Francisco — and while he's got brilliant ideas and the skills to back them up, he'll need more than that to succeed. Getting the financing and attention means jumping into the investor pool and navigating the cut-throat world of business in Silicon Valley. As the company continues to grow, Richard and his team of miscreants learn that success often has little to do with talent.
